 Our Story

Dreamboat Cafe is a multidisciplinary food platform of pop-up events and independent publications celebrating the contributions  to culinary history from marginalized people. We curate the storytelling of food with art mediums and emotional eating to feed a future of togetherness. Rooted in our Haitian and West Indian heritage, our intention is to address food and land access through colonial impacts on culture, art, and community sustainability. We are currently working on opening our Caribbean Appalachian  country store here in WNC.

Artist Statement

Dreamboat Cafe was created in response to the grief and restoration needed in a food industry that historically lacked acknowledging the very people who have contributed to it. My dream was a space of gathering and dining centered in the stories, art, and foods of BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ lives. What has evolved almost six years later has been from the support of our local communities and the steadfast hunger to chase all that makes our mouths water.
